Most of Cook Islands resorts are located right on the beach. But even if you aren't on the beach it will never be far to get to one. Two of the best beach locations in Rarotonga are in Muri and Titikaveka. On the west side of the island, however, the beaches are still good and there are spectacular sunsets. On Aitutaki, some of the best beaches you would hope to find anywhere are to be found in the lagoon there !
Most major resorts will hold an Island Night at least once a week. This is your chance to sample the local cuisine and watch or participate in Cook Islands dancing.
If you wish to take island tours, go diving, sport or gamefishing, most resorts and hotels will be able to help you with this.
If you are travelling as a family, many of the resorts have special deals, discounted meals, kids clubs, babysitting available and so on. Ask for details when you email them.
On the other hand, if you are choosing the Cooks Islands for your honeymoon or wedding destination, many of the larger resorts will be able to help you with arrangements for your paradise vacation of a lifetime.
